Personal Training Info

When you sign on to an in-person Personal Training program with myself, you get access to all of the following features!

All of my PT programs begin with an initial consultation; during which we will discuss your goals and preferences, history of health and fitness, barriers faced, and past successes! Based on your objectives and individual circumstances, we will then collaborate on the building blocks of an exercise program best suited to you.

After the initial consultation I will complete your program, based upon on the latest research relevant to your circumstances. You will then be entitled to a free PT taster session, where we will go over the program together and get in a wee bit of a workout – at this point you will be given the opportunity of choosing whether or not to continue the sessions into the future via one of the many pricing plans I have available!

My speciality areas are in muscle growth, strength gains, functional movement, and time-efficient training. I also have multiple years’ experience in calisthenics and sport-specific training. If you have a particular focus area or circumstances which are outside of my specialities I will take the time to familiarise myself with the latest relevant research – meaning whatever your objectives are you can be confident we will get you there in the safest and most effective way possible!

While I don’t believe there is any ‘wrong’ way of exercising, I am eager to help you get where you want to be in the most effective, safe, and enjoyable way possible. I don’t subscribe to the boot-camp ‘army sergeant’ style of training, but do believe that with outside motivation we can all push ourselves that crucial bit further than we can in isolation. All of my PT sessions are based on the latest science, and designed to instil good techniques and principles which will stick with you throughout the rest of your journey in exercise.

The in-person sessions run for 60 minutes at a time (check out the Location and Timing and Pricing pages for further info), during which you can expect to be challenged and pushed beyond your comfort zone. The emphasis on sound technique and high intensity (where necessary) makes my sessions ideal for both beginners and intermediates to exercise – whether you’re just starting out or have hit a plateau in your gains, you can expect to start making substantial progress soon!

Diet and exercise are of course inseparable. If you’re looking to address the quality and or/quantity of what you eat and drink, we’ll work on that together to realise realistic but significant changes. From lived experience, I am also highly aware of how a health-conscious relationship with food can rapidly become a toxic one – if you don’t want to calorie count or cut out all the things you enjoy, you won’t have to!

In addition to your in-person sessions you will also get access to my online Personal Training platform. This doesn’t just allow you to reach out for advice throughout the week, but also unlock access to a range of super powerful features! Workout logging, instructional videos, and a nutritional tracker/database to name a few.
